Do you see yourself running in these photos? (^_-)
When I took these photos, there were more than ten couples sitting on this riverbank, and they were seated evenly apart, a few meters from each other, as if someone had instructed them to do so. That was impressive.
I see. Kyoto has long been a popular tourist destination, but now that the coronavirus pandemic has ended, Kyoto seems to be incredibly crowded with tourists from both Japan and abroad, so it may be difficult to experience a peaceful Kyoto.
I live in Aichi prefecture. Aichi Prefecture is not very popular with tourists, so it's relatively quiet, but it's starting to get more lively with the opening of Ghibli Park in my neighborhood last year.
Ohhhh I remember running on THAT path at around that time - 2010. So great. What an incredible city, and I love the way you’ve captured it.
Thank you so much! Have you ever lived in Kyoto?

That’s fascinating!
I only visited a few days, but I like to run when I travel partly to see places more “like a local” and discover the non-touristic side.
I was living in Hong Kong for a while and took several trips to Japan :)

Oh that’s a shame. Hopefully it will change again...
