Lovely photos, Akira. Hope you are well.

Do you know what those purple flowers are in the first photo? I wonder whether they are hibiscus? The colour is beautiful. (I do realise you may not know!)

Hi Jules, I think they may be a scented leaf geranium looking at the flower and leaf shape?. I love the way people bring nature and plants into their lives, even in such an urban environment.

Hi, Becky. Thanks so much for replying! Aren't they beautiful? The colour just zings. 😊

I am fine. thank you.

By the way, as you may have guessed, I don't know anything about that flower.

(^O^)

That's good to hear. It's OK, one of your subscribers helped me out on the flower! 😊

I've never been to Osaka before, but it really looks a lot like Kyoto in some of these pictures!

The photos I posted in this article are ordinary scenes that can be seen in any town.

Yep, which is why it was so likeable, but the older towns and rural ones look different from these. Each Japanese spirit and town has a spirit all its own.

Love the first picture 🌺 it reminds me to old, small streets in Amsterdam, just for the green vibes, the plants! Everything greenish in the vertical at buildings reminds me to Milan : )

The atmosphere of buildings and types of plants may differ depending on the country, but I'm sure there are landscapes similar to this all over the world.

Lovely photos. One of the aspects of Japanese cities I like is how residents decorate the streets with plants. It can make a simple walk to the shops a delightful experience.

I think elderly people who have lived in shitamachi (downtown) areas for a long time tend to have plants around their homes.
