(Early 2010s) Galaxy Beyond The Hill (It is not ordinary)
“Oka (meaning Hill)” is a cafe located in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. No one would ever imagine that there is a galaxy beyond the door.
It was a silver space. Silver sheets and colorful geometric patterns on all surfaces except the floor. It was easy to imagine that the unique interior was handmade by the owner.
I was moved by the worldview that was so far away from the floating world. And I got dizzy imagining the time and effort that went into building this world. It was truly a product of passion and unwavering aesthetics. And when I saw the silver tissue paper boxes placed on each table, I felt a sense of awe and clasped my hands together in my heart.

And I ate lunch in that space surrounded by aluminum. Gyudon, miso soup, and salad. Is this actually Japan? In fact, perhaps the Earth doesn't even exist anymore. My thoughts lost their foundation and were thrown into a silver chaos.
When I finished my lunch and ordered coffee, the elderly owner gave me a cake as an extra. He was a man with a cosmic aesthetic and a kind personality.

Fun place.
What a labour of love it must have been to turn this place into a magical universe.
And magical it is 💙💫
