Osaka Castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in the 16th century and rebuilt by Tokugawa Iemitsu in the 17th century. The current Osaka Castle tower is the third generation, rebuilt in 1931.

I like that few or none of your pics are in Tokyo. There is so much more to Japan. If I ever visited, I might fly in to Tokyo, but I would immediately leave for Kyoto or Osaka, or somewhere I'd never heard of.
