I like Japanese grocery stores better thant his sort of building, weirdly I remember places like this in Japan and remember thinking they felt claustrophobic especially those in Nagoya (such as the underground malls).

Especially in Japan's old underground shopping malls built in the 1950s, the ceilings are very low and the passageways are narrow, making it feel oppressive.

Yeah! That's exactly why, I understand that they are monumental feats of architecture and planning, but it is still a very difficult thing to deal with.

That said, I really do love all the restaurants in them.
