There is little I like better than abandoned disintegrating industrial detritus being assimilated by Nature. There will be no Roman ruins left behind by our ephemeral civilization: our concrete and rebar structures will rapidly decay as their iron oxidizes; steel will last much longer but not as long as the Roman aqueducts still standing, or the Arles Arena, built in 0090, still in use.
