It is always beautiful... I just wonder where all the waste goes. Nobody does packaging like the Japanese. Unbelievably attractive. But the waste.... the waste...

In Japan, waste separation is strictly enforced, so most plastic and paper packaging is recycled. Sorting rules vary slightly depending on the local government, and in the area where I live, glass bottles, PET bottles, paper, and cans also have to be separated and put out as recyclable waste.

We do the same here, I was simply commenting how beautifully things are presented and packaged in Japan.

Your comment was fair. I just get so sad every time I get something wrapped in Japan… It is almost too pretty to a: open b: throw away the packaging! 😃

Things are packaged so differently in Japan than they are here. It looks strange, but I also like it.
