I can feel the dampness!
Rainy day and night. Japan is wet, moist, humid and sticky. Umbrellas are the must. Rain is calming and soothing as long as it wouldn't lead to flooding. Now living in dry California where it rarely rains from April through October, I often miss rain. I am amazed to see the green trees standing bravely on a perched hill top. They must have developed deep roots to absorb scarce water in the ground, just waiting patiently for the next rainy season.
