That is a most adorable divine messenger fox statue! I really love the rows of Torii gates too and was dismayed to see disrespectful influencers pull tasteless pranks for internet clout. Not to mention Ubisoft destroying Shinto shrines in their latest Assassin's Creed game. I wish people acted respectful when they visited other countries, but one cannot ask self-absorbed fools the impossible...
I’ve also seen videos of foreign visitors in Japan committing malicious pranks or crimes. Of course, such bad behavior isn’t limited to foreigners — sometimes it’s Japanese people who do these things — so we can’t simply blame foreign tourists. Still, no matter who’s responsible, it pains my heart to see it.
