Stuff Like That

Wooden Carved Santa Claus
About 10 years ago, when I was preparing to move, I found this carved wooden board in the back of a desk drawer. It had a Bootsy Collins-like Santa Claus carved into it, and the words “Merry Christmas” engraved on it. I have no idea when or why I carved it.
Before the Typhoon Comes
I don’t do this every time a typhoon hits, but before a super typhoon hits, I stock up on groceries and tape the windows to prevent broken glass from flying around.
Cut Open Milk Carton
When we throw away milk cartons, we have to wash the inside of the container, dry it, cut it open, and wait for the recycling collection day, but these are troublesome tasks for me.
Take Off Your Shoes
Do we have to take off our shoes in Japanese laundromat?
No, there is no such rule.
So why are there these signs?
Hmm… I think… whoever put them up probably wanted to say, “Please don’t wash your shoes in the washing machine.”
DO NOT MEIL IT!
Deciphering this message on the door of a spare apartment was easier than figuring out the four-digit combination on the lock. The biggest mystery, however, is why it wasn’t written in Japanese.

Merry Christmas, Akira-san!
At first glance, I thought that carved Santa was a chocolate bar. (I think I'm just hungry) Merry Christmas!
