He was born in Japan 1954.
He was born in 1954. He is 9 years older than me and will turn 70 in 2024. The reason for his birth was a hydrogen bomb test. Initially, he was an anti-nuclear symbol, but as many series were made, the original concept faded and he eventually became an idol for young boys. Like most people, I was obsessed with him when I was a kid.
His name is Godzilla.
To date, 33 Godzilla films have been made in Japan (3 of which are anime), and 4 have been made in the United States (the 5th is scheduled to be released in 2024).
Toho is a film company that has produced many masterpieces, including works by KUROSAWA Akira. But in the end, the Toho icon that had the strongest impact was Godzilla. The TOHO Cinemas building in Shinjuku, Tokyo is always under his control.
