I am drawn to Japan, and enjoyed scrolling through your photos. I always go back to the beginning when I discover someone new on Substack. I have a particular fascination with the legendary crane, “Tancho,” which almost faced extinction, but with the help of the people of Japan made a comeback.

I wrote a song called “Tancho,” Posted about two months back.

Photography, writing, poetry, and music all share one beautiful thing that they capture a moment.

I hope to visit your country! I have enjoyed the journey your photography has taken me on this afternoon. Thank you.

Thank you for your comment on my first post. I listened to your song "Tancho" and thought it was a wonderful song.

I hope my publication will be of some use to you when you visit Japan.

Thank you for taking the time! If that day should come, they surely will be of use. Your photos capture the everyday essence, I think, of Japanese living. If that day should come, I may pepper you with questions!

You're welcome. And thank you. The heat in summer in Japan is getting worse every year, and the high humidity also robs people of their physical strength. If you are planning a trip to Japan, I recommend you to avoid midsummer as much as possible.

No plans in the immediate future but yes, I will avoid heat no matter where I travel. There may be very few places to escape extremities of any kind in the future, I fear. but I still have hope. Thank you for letting me know.
