The town looks quite brown. It reminds me a bit of Detroit here in the U.S. I really appreciate these snapshots of the non glamorous areas of the Japan.
Wow. I can just imagine what it was like, say, 30 years ago? During the bubble, this must have been a bustling area, and all these pubs had a thriving business when workers stopped in for a drink before going home.
I don't know when this shopping district handed over its role to a new shopping district that opened nearby, but I think it was probably at its most vibrant during the period of rapid economic growth in the 1960s.
Thanks for sharing more unusual pictures. I have a question about your image of Gifu. Do you use an app to generate those maps, or do you do it in Photoshop, for example? If it's a map-making app, please share the details. Thanks in advance.参考になりそうです。よろしくお願いします。

Thank you. I prefer old, retro towns to new, shiny places.

What a change. 😢

That far back! Yeah, I guess so. I would love to see it be successful again. Momand pop shops seem to be a thing of the past.

I create these maps in Adobe Illustrator and I wish there was an easier way to do it.
Ah hah! We'll, they look great. Thanks for sharing your secret.
