I am watching the newest Shogun series, the architecture and clothing of the Edo period is so incredibly beautiful, I can not get over the silks, and armour
The costumes and set designs for "SHŌGUN" were more expensive than those of movies and dramas made in Japan, and the finish was very authentic. I'm looking forward to the sequels that will be made in the future.
I’m hoping that they go back to the beginning of the Samurai and the warring clans fighting for complete control of Japan as a whole, now that is a fascinating story lasting centuries.
The original novel written by James Clavell does not continue the story beyond that point, but if a sequel based on historical facts is made, season 2 would likely start with the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600.
Beautiful temple, just beautiful

I’m glad to hear of authenticity of the show.
The workmanship in temples and gardens is so humbling.
The people who built temples, shrines and gardens, as well as the artisans who care for and maintain them, are worthy of respect.
