Excellent piece on this traditional event, the younger generation participating enthusiastically ensures that it will endure for generations to come. I must comment on the video of the horse drawn cart- those men were running top speed seemingly attached to the cart. That was amazing to see and makes me wonder how far they have to go!
After the horse marches through the city with the army, it runs only once on a 50-meter course in front of the main shrine. The people who are trying to keep up with him must be desperate, but the horse is probably running slower out of consideration for them. (^o^)
