Same age as me! I think my first gig was The Eurhythmics, two years later when I began university.

Well, I had to look it up but apparently not. 'Sweet Dreams' came out 2 years later and I definitely saw them in October 1981 as part of Freshers' Week at Aberdeen University. Annie Lennox comes from near Aberdeen, which is probably why they were booked; we have the same accent!

I looked it up and it seems that 1981 was the year that Eurythmics debuted. So you went to see their gig right after their debut. As you said, "Sweet Dreams" became a hit two years after their debut.

懐かしい歌です。吉田拓郎、キャンデーズ、木綿のハンカチーフ、井上陽水、沢田研二、など、大好きでした。あの頃の、歌謡曲がすきでした。過去は戻らないけど、思い出は、永遠です。😭🥹🌸

思い返してみると、歌謡曲やフォーク、演歌、ロック、ニューミュージックなどがゴチャ混ぜだったあの頃の歌番組は楽しかったですね。
