Although it has been nearly 60 years since it was created, it is an amazing piece of work that does not feel old.

Godzilla made by stop motion, that's interesting. Please try again.

Me and my friends were obsessed with Thunderbird 2 at the time. If you are paying attention to Thunderbird 5, you must be a fanatic. (^O^)

Are you still a boy too? (^o^)

I LOVED Thunderbirds when I was a kid❣️ I’d never heard of “UFO”, though. Wonder if it was ever shown in the U.S.

Akira, is that your collection of Thunderbirds toys and models? Classic! Thank you so much for this post. 🛸

Japanese girls weren't interested in Thunderbirds at all back then, but I'm glad to know that you liked it too. I have also heard that UFO distribution ended in failure in the United States.

The plastic model I posted in this article was purchased about 10 years ago.

That's so cool that you have a model! I envy you! ;-)

Ah, happy memories of Thunderbirds. Thanks for bringing them back. I haven't watched UFO, but I have seen this, which is very good: https://www.gerryanderson.com/portfolio/space-1999/

Unfortunately, by the time "Space: 1999" was broadcast in Japan, I had already begun to lose my boyhood. (>_<)

Space: 1999 is also for grown-ups, though!

I think I'll have to rewatch it.

Gerry Anderson was a genius and these programmes were marvellous. Thunderbirds are GO!

I'm happy to have found another fan girl. (^_-)

Ha ha! Do you remember Lady Penelope and Parker? When my husband was a child he had a toy pink Rolls Royce car. He always wonders what it would be worth now.

SHIMIZU Akira's avatar

Lady Penelope and Parker were my favorite pair. By the way, I think the value of pink Rolls Royces is skyrocketing right now.

Oh dear. I won't tell him!

Has no tv in these days. My parents where in love with wood toys,Lego, nature, bike and books. I took the painting option ¡|^•^|¡

And later I found tv sometimes boring. So I started crafting to not fall asleep....🤭

It seems like you were raised to be naturally creative. When I was a child, I used to draw a lot, but I was also a TV person.

True 🤭 and I loved to be creative a lot. But I missed sugar and tv. Whenever it was possible, I was fascinated by watching Pippi and Heidi. I loved tv. And I had friends with tv. Friends always are helpful to explore new dimensions 🌿✨
