Being a tech nerd myself, I recall the floppy disks well, when windows first came out and required waiting for several hours to install via 25 floppies! Audiocassettes are still popular today believe it or not, there is still a Market here in the states which is pretty unbelievable. Thanks for sharing and some nostalgia.
When I moved to Japan, I had to leave my beloved stereo and record collection behind, bought a space-saver boom box and started buying CDs, but I've never liked them. I still have a sizeable tape collection here, and I must say they are holding up pretty well.

Back then, when installing the OS or applications, we had to insert and remove dozens of floppy disks; those were the good old days.
We loved the role played in the film Perfect Days (starring Koji Yakusho in 2023) by the cassette tapes and the shop that specialized in them!
Certainly, in that movie the books and cassette tapes had great meaning to the protagonist.

Although the sound quality is by no means high, I also believe that cassette tapes have a unique, familiar charm.
I have no idea why it is so enjoyable to stare at old media
Maybe it's because old media can have a lot of memories attached to it.
Yeah, I think so
This is so nostalgic
