Wow! I never visualized Japan like this before
This reminds me of a similar activity I did in elementary school in Hawaii. We took a map of the state and cut out the neighbor islands with scissor
Then we arranged them on the island of Hawaii to see how big it is relative to the neighbor islands. Big Island indeed!
The sheer variety of Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, is what impresses me.

Such a huge and diverse global influence for so petite of a place.
I actually saw an old map of Japan. It is huge. As big as China or bigger than China. I wonder where is the other part of Japan.
